It's the passion that makes the difference.....

I've managed to go M.I.A again. Looks like its been slightly over a month this time. Maybe I'm afraid I might reveal something I shouldn't.

Could be I'm afraid I might step on someone's tail. It's not safe anymore, even for a simple blog like this with all the bad publicity its been getting in the press lately. Maybe I should say nothing about work AT ALL.

Or maybe, I've simply just lost it - the passion. Was there even any to begin with in the first place?

I felt like shit last night. And I've never felt this way for a long time.

The weather has been shit the past week, and it was affecting me and my mood. I started having a sorethroat, sneezing, the works. I blame it on the damn haze and it looks like it will be an annual affair now.

The stench was horrible, visibility was low.

Then finally on Friday, I seemed to have developed a fever or high blood pressure. I was feeling feverish and not well at all. Took a nap after dinner in the common lounge at work.

Couldn't sleep well when I got home. Felt hot and cold at the same time and I had to increase the temperature on the a/c to something more comfortable. Something which I hardly do. Everything was ok when I woke up this morning so all's good now.

I feel the urge to go buy something. I haven't bought anything new since..... I don't remember when was the last time I bought something. I think I'm deliberately not going out often these days just to prevent myself from seeing something that I fancy and would like to buy.

It sounds like some kind of disease, strange I know.

Just the other day, I was about an hour early at the pickup point before work. With time to kill, I decided to go take a walk around. Not only that, the sales aren't helping either. All the posters and signage beckoning me to spend my dollars.

In that one hour alone, there were things that caught my attention:
Nike sneakers
These were new designs I haven't seen before, the new Air Cortez caught my eye, one was
a pure white shoe, the other is a Nacho Libre edition (so I heard, that explains the funky looking masks all over the front portion of the shoes)

Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King Extended Edition 4-disc set
I've put off buying these for such a long time I actually had a difficult time tracking this down. I went to Border's Berjaya Times Square a few weeks back. Decided to check out the DVDs and I didn't see this. Then few days after that, I stopped by Border's at The Curve. Didn't find this as well. Not to be found at Tower Records 1Utama as well. Finally saw a set at Speedy 1Utama. I need this to complete my collection!

Lord of The Rings Extended Editions: The Fellowship of The Ring and The Two Towers

Also placed a pre-order for the Sideshow 12-inch Aragorn figure. I was thinking whether to get this or not for awhile now and I finally decided to place a deposit for this.

Sideshow 12 inch Aragorn figure

Some shops have already received their shipment. I should be getting mine soon, assuming there are enough stocks to fulfill all pre-orders.

The first shop I contacted informed me that the pre-order was fully booked. I managed to pre-order at another store. No guarantee that I'll get it though. Fingers crossed!

Sideshow has done some pretty awesome packaging. I don't know why the went a step backwards and used velcro for the flaps when they received praises for being innovative for their Star Wars packaging which incorporated magnets into the flaps. Probably it was to reduce costs?

Speaking of packaging, something new I've seen.

Chocolate Candies in a medium sized bag. The logo look familiar?

It's M&M's Chocolates! Yummy

If this is medium, how big would the large bag be?

The verdict? This is the least favourite variety to me. I don't really like nuts in my chocolates, peanuts are OK, hazelnuts are bearable, almonds are my least favourite. My favourite M&M's ranked in order are:

a) Brown - Plain is THE BEST
b) Yellow/Blue - Peanut and Rice Crispies (I think it was) gets a tie
c) Cream - Almonds - last place

Yet more packaging!

More awesome shots of the figure itself:

Some of the nicer shots I've seen:

The Man of Steel

Barbie Lois Lane and Hot Toys Superman

When this figure was first released, I didn't think much of it - it was a nice figure. But in fact, for the price, I didn't think it was worth the money because there wasn't much accessories. Only a stand and a pair of extra interchangeable hands.

Then, the price went by more than RM 100, possibly due to demand as well as it being a limited edition figure with only 1200 units worldwide.

Honestly, I did regret a little for not getting it at that time.

Action City 1 Utama will be having some massive sales on 10th Oct. Apparently they still have stocks for this. Only about RM 25 cheaper.

Someone told me to just go ahead and get it. All the thinking, pondering and wasting is not worth the effort. This "hobby" is like an investment. If I need the money, I can always sell it off and there is a possibility that I might make a loss. But the loss in monetary terms is a small price to pay instead of of having to live with the "what ifs" and the "should haves"

This is like being given a 2nd chance for me to own it. Should I? I have 3 days to decide.....
