Stigmata, or something of that sort .....

I found a wound near my wrist the other day while I was in the office bathroom. I had no idea how I got it, nor did I feel any pain.

No, I did not try to slash my wrists. It's in the wrong location anyway. Stigmata perhaps? Or something of that sort. The wound has now left an unsightly scar on my arm. I wonder how long it would take to fade away.....

There have been increasingly weird tales from the office. Just the other day, a colleague (who was staying back late to finish up some work) heard screams from the next wing where another department is located.

He heard a commotion (screaming, shouting, people running) and decided to check it out. When he got there, he saw a girl screaming "Lepaskan aku! Lepaskan aku!". She had to be held down by her colleagues and was still screaming an hour later, until the ambulance came to take her away. Hysteria, or something supernatural?

A few days after that, I heard from another colleague what had actually happened. One of the girl's colleagues had "dared" the spirit to come out. And the day after the "possession", the guy fell ill and never came to work. Apparently, the spirit is now after him and it isn't the first time it has happened in that department.

This isn't the first time I've heard stories about ghosts and spirits at work. There have been sightings by people as well as the cleaner makciks who work there. She claimed she once saw a figure hunched over the toilet bowl. Thinking it was someone who was ill and vomitting, the makcik approached only to see the being turn around and had blood coming out of its mouth. The makcik said it looked like the "thing" was eating period blood out of the toilet bowl.

Cyberjaya isn't a clean place - that is a well known fact. Scary thought.....

Sylvia gave me several choices on where we were going to celebrate our belated Birthdays. Among the choices were:

a) The Eagle's Nest Steakhouse
b) Maredo's
c) La Risatta

After doing abit of research, we opted for The Eagle's Nest. Their first outlet opened in Langkawi and their only restaurant now is in Damansara Perdana. I Googled The Eagle's Nest and they had pretty good reviews. And Sylvia didn't want to have the same food that we usually had. Plus, she knows how much I love my beef.

The menu isn't extensive. But I suppose they get to focus on what they do best. Sylvia didn't know what to get my for a present, so she said lunch was her treat.

Ribeye Steak and Mashed Potatoes

Steak Americano

Sylvia had the Ribeye steak with garlic butter (herb butter being the other choice) while I chose the Steak Americano (which has been recommended by foodies here and here). We also ordered a serving of mashed potatoes which was very potato-ey in taste.

Overall, Sylvia preferred the Americano and wished that she ordered that instead. My verdict, it was a good meal - but next time, I wanna go somewhere else! Like maybe Tony Roma's (Sylvia doesn't like it) or something.

Sylvia also got me something from her last trip to Bangkok - a decoration plate with a nice tin box. At least its the thought that counts. Plus I got a free lunch!

Sylvia's gift

Speaking of presents, I got something from the Social Calender committee at work. Everyone gets a little something at the end of each month.

Camoflage-print Cap

Again, its the thought that counts, but I don't know how often I'll be using this. The cap isn't my complaint. The wrapping paper is. It was pink...... and decorated with the photos of the Taiwanese boyband, F4!

Isn't that so gay? But again, I can't complain, its just wrapping paper and it was a girl that got it. Sure, I have a song from the Meteor Garden series by F4 which is quite catchy. But an F4 wrapping paper?!?! I'll stop now.

I've decided to spoil myself even further, more Transformers stuff!

Transformers stickers (meant for handphones) at RM 3 each. Yes, that's RM 9 worth of stickers that I have no use for.

Whatever the fuck did I buy so many for? They are metallic stickers, so they look kinda cool..... but what am I going to stick them on? My laptop? Definitely not on my phone.

Transformers Movie Jazz (G1 re-deco)

Transformers Movie Rescue Ratchet (G1 re-deco)

SY had extras and was willing to sell them to me at retail price. Ratchet was a white ambulance in the cartoons, and was a green Humvee in the movie. I have no idea why I bought these, maybe its the thought that they are extremely hard to come by with the recent Transformers craze brought on by the movie.

Right now, I'm just missing Bumblebee and Ironhide - and then my Autobots will be complete. Unless I want to get the movie version Ratchet as well.

Because of this madness, I've also placed 2 seperate orders for the following from 2 different shops.

Optimus Prime & Bumblebee 08 2-pack

I am lucky enough to get both, I shouldn't have a problem selling it off. In fact, SY already made an offer to take it off my hands if I get that extra set.

This Transformers craze isn't only in Malaysia. I had to go to the extent of getting Deidere to check out the shops in Perth for Bumblebee 08 and no luck as well. Then all of a sudden, there's news that the Bumblebee 08 will be repacked into the following sets, plus some other repackaged Transformers with some tiny human figures:

Capture of Bumblebee

Final Stand (half a Bumblebee, main figure is the tow truck)

I just want that Bumblebee. Good for people like me who don't have it yet, bad for scalpers who are selling a RM 50 toy for between RM 100 - 150! Screw them all!

The Evolution Of A Hero set looks tempting too, 2 Bumblebees in a pack. Except that the Bumblebee 08 is battle-damaged (uglier paintjob) and its a TARGET exlclusive.

And that's not all, a new Transformers cartoon is in the works, which will be on Cartoon Network one of these days.

And naturally, the toys to go along with it.

Superman will be in the new season of The Batman. Looking forward to that.

Been watching a couple of episodes of Smallville every night for the past couple of weeks. Finished almost 2 seasons now. Just a few more and I'm done with Season 5 of Smallville.

There's going to be major changes at work with the new bosses. Most probably a new job scope for me too. That means a change in hours, no more early shift damn it!

I previously wrote about how good the iPhone looked. There were skeptics on the phone part of the device saying it was nothing but an iPod but with the basic functions of a cellphone. Sounds about right from what I've read.

But now, the new iPod Touch:

Yes, I'd like one too. Basically functions the same way the iPhone does. Looks gorgeous as all Apple products do. And there's a whole new bunch of improved iPods (Classic, Nano etc) to be launched soon.

Technology - pfffttttt.....
