Back to class today. Looks like we've got a 12th December deadline for our project. Classes tomorrow as usual and I'll be starting my attachment in Puchong next Monday!

Been having weird dreams again. Dreamt that I was back in Melbourne the other night. I went back to Maccas in Kew and the first person I was looking for was Courtney. Saw some other familiar faces like Peter Reynolds and Peter Hawthorn but they didn't seem to recognise me. Also saw someone that looked like Kass but I can't be sure. The rest of them were unfamiliar faces. I waited for them to get off work and decided to take the tram with them. Then I woke up.

Don't know the significance of such dreams. There was another weird dream - but I can't remember what it was.

Dad seems to be enjoying the car more than I do. Can't wait until I get the road tax so I can drive it legally without having to worry. Hope the runner has done his/her job and will get my road tax this week!

Oh, we've already got a brand spanking new set of 15 inch rims and new tyres to go with them. The rims are a brand called "Millenium". Never heard of them before but Sam has. A Taiwanese brand, which are supposedly stronger than local ones. Traded in the old set of rims and tyres for about RM 600 so the new ones came up to about RM 660 including the tyres. Not too bad I think.

Won't be long until I have my baby all to myself!

Thursday, November 27, 2003

Had some more work done on the car. Fixed up the rear skirts. Looks almost as good as new. Also resprayed the spoiler. I still want to get it changed later.

After listening to some people, we have decided that we might switch from 16" rims to 15" rims. The reason is due to:

- Current tyres wearing out and needs replacement
- Better fuel economy
- Reduce cost in the long term for cost of tyres
- Reduce tyre noise

Also need to go look for a replacement wind-shield because of the long crack on the current one.

I've noticed that the CDs I play in the car tends to get really hot. Don't know if its normal or advisable for long periods of time.

The tickets for the LOTR Movie Marathon have completely sold out from what Grace and Reza have told me. I guess we'll have to watch "Return Of The King" on its own. The "Two Towers - Extended Edition" DVD isn't out yet. If it doesn't come out soon, I might have to spend the Tower Records voucher on something else instead.

Got to call the Finance Company to check on the roadtax later.

OK, I suppose its time to let the cat out of the bag. If you've been reading this regularly, you'll realise that there was a "surprise" I've been mentioning from time to time. I think the time is right. I have finally got my car! Yes! Not just any car but a Honda Civic EK-3 (1997 spec)! Now, who wouldn't be happy eh?

Been going to the workshop with dad for the past 2 days to get some things done to the car. So what does it look like? I don't have pictures to show just yet. Here's what I can tell you. It's white in colour, pearl white or I think the official code would be Championship (?) White. It comes with Mugen-styled front, side and rear skirts.

The only major exterior problem is that the rear-skirt is cracked. I'll just leave it as it is until it drops off or really needs a new replacement. The original Malaysian-spec Civic spoiler needs a new coat of paint as well. I told dad of my plans to completely replace the spoiler but he says to keep it. He's right, we've spent close to RM 55,000 on the car already. Some of these things can wait - be thankful I have a car to drive. And not just any car, a car I've been waiting 6 years to get my hands on.

Got a Pioneer CD-player with MP3 capabilities yesterday. I think it was close to RM 700. I guess there's no need for a changer as yet. I think I have all the music I need in my CD-Rs. Time to get some CD-RWs and update my collection.

Today, we might go source for a new windshield which has a 12-inch crack. Probably going to install an alarm system today as well. The rear brake lights needs a wiring check I reckon.

Manage to drive the car for awhile yesterday. Must say I have to get used to the car. The handling is different, the engine definitely gets some getting used to. The 1.5l SOHC Vtec engine leaves the Wira's 1.5 in the dust. Now, I know this might not sound patriotic but seriously, Proton has alot of catching up to do.

Looks like this update has to be cut short. Further upgrades to be done to the car:
- get a different spoiler (EG-9 style)
- replace the rear skirting or the whole bodykit when it starts to fall off.
- get a new coat of paint (possibly white or pearl/metallic/midnight black)

Check back again for updates.

The day didn't start off too well this morning. Its pouring outside. Got wet trying to get to the car. Got my left sleeve soaked but its not really a big deal. Its good to have the net back - even for awhile. It just proves that we're all junkies of different sorts. That said, its really good to be back.

I usually don't believe too much in horoscopes. But yesterday was a very good day indeed. Not one, not two but THREE pieces of fantastic news! To start off the morning, mum calls home and says she won the lottery, but just very small winnings. Later on, dad tells me the same thing because they bought the same number.

Later on in the afternoon, I get news that I've been accepted for my attachment at PrimeRite Systems in Puchong. So for those of you who will be in that area and want to meet up for lunch or something, give me a buzz. I'll be starting on the 8th of December. Good thing I won't be alone there. Seen Hon will be joining me. I haven't begun to imagine what it would be like since it will be a completely spanking new IT Department. We'll have to see how it goes. For the others who haven't got their attachments yet, I hope the best for them. They should be getting something soon. Even though they might not be reading this, just want to let them know I'm concerned as a friend as well.

Still later in the afternoon, I receive THE phone call. It's the best news of the day I reckon. But something of which I won't elaborate until everything is finalized.

On the other hand, the day wasn't very productive, not unlike every other day we show up to do our project. We are still behind and we still won't be able to finish anytime soon. Everyone seems to be in the Raya holiday mood already. Some don't even bother to turn up. What's more, its the last day of classes today before we break off for a very long break. Still, the good news up till that point outweighed the bad.

I received mail from Shell requesting for my Uni and school results. I get a feeling the response I'll be getting from them won't be very encouraging. Even the selection process is very tedious from what I heard and read from their website. Still, I don't think I'd have anything to lose by trying to apply for it. Yes - that's the way, think positively - be optimistic.

I still haven't studied for the FMUTM exams tomorrow. Dad tells me it'll be at KDU at 3pm - 6pm tomorrow afternoon. That gives me some time to go through it tonight and tomorrow morning. Spent alot of my free time on the PS2. Also been going online for abit since the network here is screwed. And they blame us for the slowdown saying we introduced viruses to the systems!

Also received an sms from Pearly before I went to bed last night. Don't know if she messaged me on her own initiative or after some prodding from Brandy or the others. Whatever it is, someone remembered me and that's a good thing I suppose - nice if it was Pearly herself though! They'll be going to Coffee Bean in Sri Hartamas to meet up. Told her I wouldn't be able to make it due to said exams. I guess there's always another time - and when the time comes, they'll be impressed! Or at least I hope they will.

Almost time to head to class. It's the weekend. I'll have some time to myself after tomorrow. Hooray!

Monday, November 17, 2003

Shit! I'm bored. Don't know what to do. I should be studying, or reading at least, for the FMUTM exam this coming Saturday.

Didn't get to do much the whole day as I was driving around most of the time.

Had a chat with Neesha today. Funny - of all people, I see her online. Seems she's no longer at IMU. Too much pressure she said. Pfft..... who would blame her?!

The weather is really shitty. I'm sweating as if I'm in a sauna. Well ok, that's a little exaggerating but it spices up stories doesn't it? Still, the fact is I'm sweating.

Sent an application to Shinroku today. Finally put up my completed online resume on the website as well. Nothing fancy but I think it gets the job done. I hope so anyway.

News update: Ryan's friend, Nicolas won't be here for a couple of days but he's here to stay till the end of the year! Shit! No more privacy - and they're hogging my tv and consoles! *sniff sniff* Guess that's ok. I'm a nice guy after all. Besides, I pity the poor kid. Parents already seperated/divorced and busy with their own lives. Grandmother already gone to USA to visit the other grandchildren.

WWE Updates: I've already finished season 1 with The Rock. Decided to switch to Chris Jericho for the next one. Pretty interesting storyline this time. Coach came up to me and told me there were a few Divas who were interested in being my manager. Of course I wanted a Diva as a manager. So who did I get to choose from? That crazy bitch Victoria and the other crazy, freaky bitch - Jazz. God damn it - what is Bischoff or McMahon trying to do? Why can't I get someone like Trish Stratus or Stacy Kiebler? I had no choice so I took the better of the two, Victoria. She offered me some pie, which was pretty funny for those who gets the joke.

Later on, Trish tries to come on to me *yeah - who's the man?*. She gets involved in a fight with Victoria. Next came the beauty contest with me as a judge. Of course I picked Trish. I thought I could finally get rid of Victoria but NOoooooo. They fight in a match which I purposely lost in hopes to get rid of Victoria. Get rid of her I did - but in the end, Trish didn't want me as well! She said she would be looking for a real man. Damn it!

Watched an episode of "Smallville" last night. Its not something I watch on a weekly basis. In this one, Clark was discovering more of his powers. He finally discovers his identity from a scientist played by..... Christopher Reeve! He looks like he's in pretty bad these days, very fragile. So different from back when he was still Superman. It's pretty disturbing to see. Feel abit sad. Makes you wonder how precious life is.

What is wrong with the damn banks? Why haven't they called me yet? When I'm available, they don't give a buzz. When I'm not - my phone's going out of whack with all the missed calls. What's wrong with this people?

You know what? I'm still bored. And still hot. It's already raining. I'm off to take a shower.

Recommends: Dido - White Flag

I never noticed this before until I saw yesterday's Star Two paper. Dido is actually pretty attractive.

Still keeping that big surprise till much later on.

Courtney has finally replied my email. Better late than never I suppose. Didn't know she quit Maccas as well. Looks like everyone seems to be leaving or is thinking of doing so.

Had the "Design Review" today. Feel really drained. We have so much more to do. Really doubt if we're going to have weekends off for the next month or so. Time is running out.

Nicholas is going to be here for a couple of days.

Ooh - dinner time. To be continued.....

vamp
You are Form 9, Vampire: The Undying.

"And The Vampire was all that remained on
the blood drowned creation. She attempted to
regrow life from the dead. But as she was
about to give the breath of life, she was
consumed in the flame of The Phoenix and the
cycle began again."

Some examples of the Vampire Form are Hades (Greek)
and Isis (Egyptian).
The Vampire is associated with the concept of
death, the number 9, and the element of fire.
Her sign is the eclipsed moon.

As a member of Form 9, you are a very realistic
individual. You may be a little idealistic,
but you are very grounded and down to earth.
You realize that not everything lasts, but you
savor every minute of the good times. While
you may sometimes find yourself lonely, you
have strong ties with people that will never be
broken. Vampires are the best friends to have
because they are sensible.

Which Mythological Form Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Pretty interesting assessment I reckon, pretty accurate too I should say.

Now for the most important update, the time has come! The wait is over. I realise that I should be more excited than this. I wonder what's wrong? Stay tuned for more updates - you'll be surpised, as I have been. I always get what I want.

Speaking of getting what I want, I was on a mission to kick the crap out of Goldberg and the rest of the fucking Corporation. And I have. No need to cheat either - I just played it smart and safe. I let all the other fools take out each other before moving in for the kill. Its a good thing the factions were disbanded after the Elimination Match was over.

Vince McMahon insists making my life a living hell. He has some serious issues with me being the World Champion on RAW. He booked me in not one, but TWO title matches at No Mercy. Bastard. I kicked his ass when I was done with both Kane and Kevin Nash. I hoisted Vince up and threw him onto the crowd barrier, severely hurting his "grapefruits" as both JR and King mentioned.

Next task is to face Goldberg at Wrestlemania! Good thing the title matches are No-Disqualification matches. Time to kick ass and as Stone Cold put it, raise hell.

Recommends: Shaving (especially for the ladies)

OK, I know this will sound really cruel - but ladies.....please for the love of GOD.

Here's what happened:

I was at the clinic the other day, waiting for my turn for a check up. Now for those of you who just got to know me, let me inform you that I'm the kind of person who notices small details. So I can include that as one of my strengths now. Mental note - be sure to mention I have an eye for details in next interview. Back to the story.....

As I was saying, I was waiting at the waiting room in the clinic. What else is there to do but to look around and observe people. Who wants to read outdated magazines anyway? You'll get bored after flipping through. Also take note, to pass time, I sometimes observe people. Then I saw this couple. Let's just say it was not a pretty sight. The girl had more hair on her legs than her man!

This reminds me of the time when I had an Indian room-mate, Vignesh. We used to tease each other, call each other names. He would call me a "woman" due to the lack of hair, chest-hair to be more specific. He, on the other hand, had a jungle on his chest as Jon, Terence and myself would say. Ah, the good ol' times. Wonder how these guys are doing now though.

Dad planned on taking some shoes to the cobbler today. I think I will do my shoe shopping from Bangsar Shopping Center from now on. I don't think I've worn my "new" Rockport's more than 5 times. I guess its obvious now that my right foot is bigger than my left. Don't know if there's a way to fix the problem, otherwise Ryan will have to inherit my shoes in a few years time and its time to go shopping again, supposing I need a new pair of shoes.

Now I'm pushing for dad to get the Civic EK-3. Just showed him the article where the EK-3 outperformed a Camry 2.2 AND Perdana V6. Plus he saw a very nice one at the car auction yesterday. I guess I managed to impress him somewhat. Time to sway his decision in my favour. Hopefully.

I was thinking the other day, I've already been waiting 6 years for a Honda Civic. What's another couple more, right? Just a matter of time, no worries. Nothing to feel particularly disappointed about.

More wrestling updates, I (The Rock) got booked into an Elimination Match at Survivor Series. McMahon's bloody faction, "The Corporation" is declaring war on my faction "The Nation Of Domination". I've got Stone Cold and Jericho on my side at the moment. The Undertaker has decided to join my faction after getting his ass whooped by Ric Flair, who is a new member of "The Corporation". Guess he didn't like the fact that I chose Jericho over him.

Goldberg is being a pain in the ass. He's fcuking "Jackhammer" finisher takes me out EVERY FUCKING SINGLE TIME! Thank god for the PS2 memory card and the reset button. I will make Goldberg my bitch! And Triple H, and Booker T, and Ric Flair. Mark my words. The next time I boot up this game, their asses will be MINE!

What a moron I turned out to be. The Courtney Simon I added isn't the Courtney Simon I know. This one's from USA instead of Australia.

But then seriously - what are the chances of 2 people having the same name, looking alot like each other? OK I admit, the picture I saw on Friendster wasn't of the best quality not to mention it was tiny thumbnail I couldn't enlarge! I just took the chance. No harm done anyway so it's no big deal.

Time to finish of breakkie and get ready to go out. *Sighs* another long day - and what a way to kick it off!

*Bangs head against wall* Moron....assclown.....

Friday, November 07, 2003

Here's another post for today.

Finally got Courtney's email address. And what's this - is she on Friendster too? Guess I'll find out soon enough.
In the mean time, I might try inviting some people to Friendster. We'll see what happens.

I really envy those who can sleep anywhere and fall asleep almost immediately. Was so tempted when I saw Chuah and Anba dozing off.

Gorgeous Stephanie will kill me if she finds out that I called her Samantha in the previous post! Eeek!

Today is a very exciting day. It's so exciting that I just had to make another blog.

There I was in Kelvin's class trying to concentrate when I decided to send off some random SMS-es to people in Melbourne. What a pleasant surprise that Marlene replied almost immediately! Seems that she's no longer working at McD's but at a pub and at Sanity during the day.

Decided to send some other SMS-es to some of the others. And who was the next to reply? Gorgeous Courtney! :)
I guess since this method works, it'll be the way I'll try to keep in touch with them. Like the saying goes "Don't fix it if it ain't broke!".

Khanh hasn't replied yet - she's probably at work. Who knows, she might reply later.

Maybe its time to excercise the typing fingers and "text" (as they say it Aussie-style) some of the others like Sally, both Samanthas. Can't forget Mandy as well.

A joyous ocassion indeed! It really made my day.

On the other hand, the trainer didn't make it at all. Gary's not feeling too well so Kelvin's taking over with another class. Lunch time is almost over. Have to head back to class in 10 minutes. Maybe time for more SMS-es =)

Waiting for the trainer to get here. He'll probably be late today.

Decided to use a new title for my blog. Come take a look at my shoes and/or, then you'll understand why.

Played a little bit more of "Return Of The King" last night. I think it won't be long until I finish the game. Had more of a glimpse of the movie clips in the game. If I hadn't read the whole trilogy, I would be surprised that any of them survived right till the end without getting killed in battle. Honestly, from the looks of things, they survived against all odds. Pay attention when watching the movie during the final battle scene at the Black Gate.

Feeling absolutely drained mentally. Waking up early and getting home late. Also coming down with a flu. Also feel some discomfort in my left eye. I think its due to "heat-iness". Think I need a real break pretty soon. Don't know if I can take much more.

Still no news about the attachment companies or where I'll be heading. No confirmation whatsoever.

There was a short review of "The Park" in The Star today. It got a "D". Interesting to note that "Matrix Revolutions" got a "B+". I guess that's as good as it gets as far as sequels go.

Dad's talking about Hondas again. Is there hope? Guess I won't have to wait that long before I finally find out once and for all.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Corine's birthday was on the 4th of November. Happy Birthday gorgeous! Hope you're reading this!

What's this about today's In-Tech? I was flipping through it this morning and there is a feature on the World Cyber Games (WCG). Gamers from all over the world gathered at Seoul for a gaming tournament on a massive scale. The Malaysian team got eliminated......yadda yadda yadda. Now what caught my mind was the article on page 17 which featured an all-girl French team called BTB. Have a look:

What's my point? Hot chicks play video games too! And they kick ass at Counter-Strike. Check out the girl in the tie.

There's also a picture of Half-Life 2 on page 10. I could have sworn it was a photograph of a SWAT team or Special Forces team.....until I saw the alien.

Everyone left the center pretty early yesterday. I had about 2 hours to kill. The bloody network was down. What's a guy to do? Fired up "Drug Wars" and before I knew it, 2 hours flew by. Went for another SBB Training session. Saw a very nice white-coloured Honda Civic (1999 - 2000) model after the training. Could tell it was a fairly recent model from the front bumper and the tail-lights. Very nice, too bad I didn't have a camera with me then. Got home, had a shower and about 1 hour of whoopin' Orc ass.

I don't when was the last time I had a good night's sleep. You'll feel absolutely refreshed. Strongly recommended. It's still early and I still have a little peace and quiet before everyone starts arriving, which is why I started blogging this early in the morning.

I've heard the best news that a LOTR can hear. There will be a movie marathon of Fellowship Of The Ring, The Two Towers & Return Of The King.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you haven't played Dope Wars or Drug Wars before, I suggest you go download it. The shit is absolutely addictive!

It started the other day at SHRDC when I borrowed Harith's Sony Clie to mess around with. Came upon this game called Dope Wars. Pretty simple game, no graphics whatsoever. Completely text-based. Started playing and I was hooked! The objective was pretty straightforward - buy and sell drugs, while staying alive in the mean streets of a certain city. You'll have cops coming after your ass while you deal with your dope.

There's a sense of pride watching your "virtual" dollars increase by leaps and bounds. Was then told by Reza that there was a PC version of it. Downloaded it the day after. This one had graphics though it was cartoonish. At least there was something to look at. Information and tips sometimes came from a character which was an old lady in the Subway. Interesting.

The following day, we were in a different lab and there I went to download the game again. This time I found "Drug Wars". More graphics and this one had sounds although I didn't have speakers. There are more cities, more weapons, more drugs and there are even Mafia who hunt you down in addition to the cops. I liked it so much I even saved the installation onto a disk and brought it home. I give "Drug Wars" TWO-THUMBS UP!

I've just finished watching "WWE Smackdown # 213". Pretty short with only 4 matches but the main reason I bought it was for the "60-minute Iron Man" match between WWE Champion Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar. Now I've never really been much of an Angle fan before this but lately, I'm rooting for him. I was even rooting for him to win this match, which he lost at the end 5-4. I guess since I started playing the newer Smackdown games, he was a pretty good character to use. Angle has also been said to be one of the most, if not THE most talented person in the wrestling business. He also won the 1996 Olympics gold medal in wrestling - with a broken neck at that. Now can you beat that?

For those who want to know - the "Iron Man" match is one where the wrestler with the most pins, submissions, KOs and countouts is declared winner. For the first time in history, the 60 minute match was on broadcast tv (in the USA at least). This was only the 3rd "Iron Man" match in WWE history, the first being Shawn Michaels Vs. Bret Hart and the second pit The Rock Vs. Triple H.

Oh, I just remembered. Someone forwarded something pretty interesting to me the other day. Egyptian Horoscope. My Egyptian horoscope is "Anubis the Protector God". Pretty interesting huh? "Anubis" - that's a name I heard before - probably read it somewhere or heard it on some documentary or movie. My bet would be "The Scorpion King" or "The Mummy" trilogy, I can't be sure. E-mail me at royalrumble79@yahoo.com if you want a copy.

Avoid: The Park (Cantonese movie), Marigold Full Cream UHT Milk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first thing you'll notice is the change in layout. What do you think? Figured it was time for a change. I think its more pleasing to the eye.

Opened a packet of milk this morning to have with my tea. Fcuk - its gone sour. This brand of full cream milk has an odd taste as well. I wouldn't recommend it. Better stick to Dutch Lady. I think its the best one so far.

Went to watch " The Park " with Mathu, Mong Kit, Grace, Chin Niu & Anba at Pyramid yesterday. It was a loud movie. And the ending..... was that supposed to be a twist? Felt cheated. Realised its been about 3 years since I've been to Pyramid. Didn't know the cab I hopped into required an advanced purchase of the voucher. At least its a fixed fare based on the area of destination. Heard Daphne mention she paid RM 20 for a trip from Pyramid back home! Remember, its only RM 8 for the cab fare with this system.

The dust has settled. The first phase for attachment interviews are over. Went for Matsushita(Panasonic) and OYL interviews on Thursday. Spent almost the whole day at SHRDC. Went for A&W with Mathu,Grace & Anba after that. Decided to check out Amcorp Mall. Finally, I have WWE Smackdown & ROTK for my PS2. Thank god. Also got SSX 3. I'm very excited and happy about my purchases.

Not really in the mood to blog at the moment. Too many distractions. Need some privacy plus someplace more quiet. Some other time then.
